Description:
ATCO Frontec is seeking an on-site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our corporate HSE Department in Resolute Bay, NU. The HSE Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, coaching, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the HSE Management Program overall for Resolute Bay in conjunction with Frontec overall. The successful candidate will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team and assist in the mitigation and management of HSE risks.

Responsibilities:
Completing regular site audits, providing staff training and overall stewardship of the HSE program. This person is responsible for consulting staff and setting work standards in accordance with ATCO’s Safety Standards.
Develops, implements, reviews and updates company procedures, manuals and other HSE documentation as required.
Completes work site inspections, evaluate workplace procedures, complete job and workplace hazard analysis as well as develop work site procedures.
Manages and/conducts site inspections and audit programs.
Follow-up to ensure closure of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
Assists in the processing, tracking, recording and reporting of accidents and incident data (e.g. total reportable injury rate, lost time injury rate, etc.).
Instructs and coaches site and by extension Frontec on the importance of HSE related responsibilities as defined by Company policy, as well as federal and provincial regulations.
Monitors and tracks changes and updates in HSE legislation.
Manage the site ERP program, from annual updates to mock and tabletop drills.
Compile data and assists in the preparation of periodic KPI reporting and all HSE reports
Travel Requirement: Up to 50% depending on project / audit schedules
