Job Title: Advisor HSE & Quality
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the business maintaining achievement and maintenance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance leading to certification and assisting maintenance of ISO 9001 certification. The role will provide support and advice to management to ensure commitment to Health, Safety and Environment management and that safety is maintained and enhanced across the company.
This position works under minimal supervision.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Workplace Health, Safety and Environment

  • Support the business in achieving ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance and certification
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the business WHSE strategy, safety management plans and WHSE Management System in line with organisational strategy and planning including health and wellbeing initiatives. This includes developing and implementing systems and procedures to measure planned outcomes
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure the highest standards of safety and to ensure compliance with all WHSE legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Lead risk assessments on key organisation wide risks and ensure implementation of required controls and safe work procedures (SWP)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor WHSE systems, policies, and procedures, including reviewing, revising, and updating WHSE Policies and Procedures to comply with legislation as required.
  • Identify legislative and organisational WHSE training requirements and co-ordinate and ensure delivery and tracking of organisational WHSE training and WHSE competence.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and up to date WHSE records management in conjunction with the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of the Cubic health, safety and environment monthly meetings and annual management review.
  • Assist in the monitoring, measurement, review and updating of internal policies, procedures, and forms especially those that affect the quality of products and services.
  • Assist in conducting regular internal audits for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Quality Management

  • Assist the Quality Manager (QM) to effectively manage and operate the QMS in all aspects. This includes collaboration with and to meet Cubic QMS requirements.
  • Support the business’ QMS conforms to ISO 9001, customer, internal, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Assist the QA manager in the preparation and conduct of internal audits to meet ISO9001 requirements
  • Assist the QA manager in reporting on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions, etc.), including the need for improvement through Opportunities for Improvement (OFI), Corrective Action Requirements (CAR) and Continual Improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of the Cubic QMR held annually.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
  • Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System
  • Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations
  • Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures
  • Other duties as requested

Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Health, Safety and Environment or equivalent
  • Certified Internal QMS Auditor

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a WHSE position and/or Quality
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001, ISO 1800101 and ISO 14001
  • Ability to motivate and upskill others in knowledge of practices and systems
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and abilities
  • Experience with RTO / Training compliance is desirable

  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment while maintaining delivery and a high standard of service
