Description:
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as an HSE Inspector in PMC or construction projects.
- Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with local, national, and international HSE standards.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey HSE requirements and procedures.
- Proficient in conducting inspections and audits to identify compliance issues.
- Ability to provide practical recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data and reports accurately.
- Proficient in using relevant software applications for documentation and reporting
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in a similar role
- Familiar with on-site operations.
- GCC/KSA experience desirable
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites and project facilities to identify potential health, safety, and environmental hazards.
- Inspect equipment, machinery, work areas, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to ensure adherence to HSE requirements.
- Identify and report any non-compliance issues Project Manager and recommend corrective actions
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate the associated risks.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement effective control measures and mitigation strategies to minimize risks to personnel, property, and the environment.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses on the project site. Identify root causes, determine preventive measures, and prepare comprehensive incident reports.
- Review and assess emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
- Provide guidance and support during emergency situations to ensure a prompt and efficient response.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other HSE-related activities.
- Prepare regular reports on HSE performance, statistics, and trends.
- Provide timely updates to project management regarding HSE issues and recommend improvements.
- Participate in HSE audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Attend meeting with Clients, Third Parties etc.
- Ensure ILF Group HSSE guidelines and policies are adhered to
- Ensure adherence to ILF Group IMS procedures and guidelines at all times
