The Opportunity: We are looking for a highly motivated HSE Manager to lead and mentor our team, ensuring that safe work practices are not only understood but effectively implemented. Reporting to the Head of People and Safety, you will play a crucial role in liaising with client and contractor HSE teams, conducting field interactions and audits, providing onsite support, and investigating incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement).
  • Experience in the mining industry.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
  • ICAM Investigation Training (desirable).
  • Current Australian ‘C’ Class Licence or above.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to all personnel in adhering to safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor HSE representatives to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Maintain work health and safety management system.
  • Perform field interactions and audits, offer onsite support, and oversee safety management systems and inspection processes.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the safety team.
  • Compile, analyze, and report on safety statistics.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed safety reports to clients.
  • Oversee return-to-work processes to ensure compliance and support for injured personnel.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
