Description:

The HSE Officer is responsible for keeping all ELECTRA employees free from danger, risk, or injury in the workplace and minimize losses due to injuries and property damages by implementing, maintaining, and Improving the HSE Policy.
HSE officer prepares and ensures implementation of HSE Plan, Hazard Identification, Method Statement and Risk Assessment and other projects related to HSE documentation and technical requirements, targeting compliance to local regulations and legislations as well as complying to international standards.
REQUIREMENTS
The HSE Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs and policies within the organization. They monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and provide guidance and support to management and employees to promote a culture of safety.
- Involve develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and deliver health, safety, and environmental training programs for employees.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations for prevention.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, training, and incidents.
- Keep abreast of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards and ensure compliance.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
- Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Conduct inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Guide the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Act as a resource for employees on health, safety, and environmental issues.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years within the HSE filed
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent
- Languages: English, Hindi, Arabic (advantage)
