QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the construction or industrial sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of HSE standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in incident investigation techniques and risk assessment tools.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and industry best practices.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards on project sites.
  • Develop and implement control measures to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Site Inspections and Audits:
  • Perform regular site inspections to monitor compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
  • Identify unsafe conditions or practices and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation:
  • Document and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Training and Awareness:
  • Organize and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Promote awareness of safety protocols and emergency procedures among site personnel.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audits, training, and incident reports.
  • Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
  • Develop and test emergency response plans for various scenarios, including fire, spills, and medical emergencies.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for emergency support when necessary.
  • Environmental Management:
  • Monitor environmental impacts of site activities and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
  • Implement waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment on HSE objectives.
  • Represent the company during HSE audits and meetings with regulatory authorities.
