We are looking for a HSE Technician join our HSE team. Based in Tetla – Mexico.
Main responsibilities:
Comply with the applicable STPS, environment, etc. For HSE regulations in the workplace by creating folders to receive inspections by the corresponding agencies.
Perform risk analysis of machinery and equipment using AST and risk maps to train personnel who are involved with the operation and propose/carry out actions for risk elimination.
Perform analysis of environmental aspects and impacts of all processes within the plant, train the personnel involved in the operation and propose/carry out actions to mitigate environmental impacts.
Maintain logs and records of applicable HSE and analyse those records made by other areas in order to take actions to improve safety, health and the environment.
Conduct DDS, programs and workshops on safety, health and the environment to train personnel.
Release permits for high-risk activities such as work at height, welding and cutting, confined spaces, work with electricity carried out by plant and external personnel.
Monitoring and compliance with safety programs with plant personnel
Carry out tours during the shift to detect unsafe acts and conditions in the workplace and be reported in a timely manner.
Follow-up of inventory, delivery, consumption and requisitions and follow-up of the purchase until the arrival at the plant of the PPE for the personnel or necessary supplies in the department
Rules and regulations: for knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations regarding safety and the environment, ensuring compliance with legal standards and the prevention of sanctions.
Emergency Management: Staff are trained on how to respond effectively to emergency situations, such as fires, chemical spills or serious accidents, with the goal of minimizing risks to safety and the environment.
Promote the reduction of paper consumption through the digitization of documents, reuse and recycling.
Optimize the use of resources in the area such as the efficient use of electrical energy, among others.
Who are we looking for?
FORMAL EDUCATION: Engineering or industrial, chemical or related TSU.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 1 to 2 years of experience in related positions
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Regulations applicable to HSE (Semarnat, STPS, SSA, etc.)
Interpretation of ISO 14 001, 45 001 and 50 001 standards)
Analysis and investigation of incidents/accidents
Trained the trainer
