Description:

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience in Renewables or Manufacturing environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • NEBOSH Environmental Certificate/IMEA (preferred)
  • Accident / Incident Investigation
  • Internal Auditor (preferred)
  • Experience and understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Join our team as an HSE Advisor and play a pivotal role in fostering a robust safety culture within our organization. Reporting directly to the HSEQ Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting daily HSE requirements on-site, driving engagement, encouraging proactive reporting, and significantly reducing incidents. Collaborate with local, regional, and divisional representatives to ensure HSEQ consistency across the business. We seek a proactive individual eager to make a difference. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct new employee HSE inductions and manage the Behavioural Safety Observation System.
  • Enhance participation through site support, workforce guidance, and administration of data and statistics.
  • Follow up on actions, communicate feedback, and manage internal platforms (e.g., Intelex, Ecometrica).
  • Investigate accidents/incidents, perform root cause analysis, and share learnings.
  • Deliver in-house training courses and maintain the IMS, updating policies and processes.

Schedule:

  • Attend HSE Committee and Fire Warden meetings, conduct toolbox talks, and audit all sites for HSEQ conformance.
  • Conduct site tours/inspections, manage environmental data and performance, and audit the internal management system.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support company HSE objectives, management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Input on site health & safety internal audits and compile monthly HSE data/statistics for the QHSE Manager and group.
  • Distribute HSE safety alerts, support environmental initiatives, and manage employee health surveillance data.
  • Maintain COSHH records, support supervision and workforce, and manage hand-arm vibration and noise at work processes.
  • Roll out workforce communications/initiatives, manage approved vendors/subcontractors, and coordinate weekly fire alarm testing/emergency exercises.
