Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and Infineum’s practices concerning Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Personnel Safety. This person will be administrating elements of the Site’s Safety Management System involving Personnel Safety as well as Work at Height. The position requires this person to interface and interact extensively with other Plant colleagues (Operation & Maintenance including Contractors) as well as Regulatory Agencies.
Job Description:
- Fulfil duties of WSHO including:
- Perform Secretarial duties of the Safe Working Committee.
- Review Management of Change for HSSE concerns.
- Participate in safety rally and safety patrols during turnaround.
- Work with maintenance department on contractor safety management.
- Coordinate WSH Performance Award (WSHPA) submission.
- Prepare EHS code for SCIC responsible care award submission.
- Lead HSSE Promotion and Awareness programs.
- Subject Matter Expert in Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis and Last Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA).
- Administer the Personnel Safety programme in Infineum Singapore
- Management of PPE program, provide advice on PPE requirements and specifications required for tasks.
- Promote and conduct training on Infineum’s life saving rules to the site.
- Perform validation of Behavioural Based Safety Observations (BBSO) entries and analyze the trends and recommend solutions to address emerging issues.
- Lead, present and coordinate monthly safety talks for the site.
- Monitor progamme’s KPI and ensure that KPIs are met.
- Manage Working at Heights (WAH) programme for the site.
- Setting performance criteria and requirements per regulations and company guidelines.
- Manage compliance of programme at site level through site inspections on WAH activities.
- Lead HSSE workshop and audits.
- Overall coordinator for safety audits, such as SS651 audits and WSHPA audit.
- Facilitate safety workshops as and when required.
- Others HSSE responsibilities.
- Conduct/Participate in incident/near misses investigations as required.
- Provide HSSE advice on selected projects.
- Other assignments that maybe delegated by management from time to time.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or another engineering discipline is the minimum requirement.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Petro-Chemical or Chemical industry.
- MOM Registered WSH Officer and SCDF registered FSM.
- Past experience in ISO 45001 would be an advantage.
- Operational/Maintenance field experience could be beneficial.
- Experience in using Microsoft Applications such as Sharepoint, Powerautomate will be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of relevant Legislation and Singapore Standards associated to process plant operation
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter and independent
- Adaptability and ability to handle ambiguous or emerging situations
