ABOUT THE POSITION
VARD Vung Tau is seeking a Hull and Outfitting Engineer to join our team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree within within Naval, Marine or Mechanical engineer
- Shipyard or heavy industries experience (Power plant, refinery)
- Have knowledge and experience in Hull, Steel Outfitting
- Production support orientation (consider the workable of the design) experience
- Minimum cost orientation design experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Vietnamese
- Strong team mind-set, teamwork skills, understand standardization activities
Responsibilities:
The purpose of this role is to carry out the assigned duties, which include but no limit to:
- Make engineering drawing, design, and perform design analysis
- Check of design, drawing to comply with standard, specification and Class rule
- Take responsibility for drawing management, record, feedback and follow up all relevant production documentation as assigned
- Be responsible for internal QA process, materials take off, weight attributes
- Technically conduct and support production as relevant
- Comply with the national laws, regulation, international standard including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001/ OSHA18001, SA8000 or any updated and valid standard on management system, Company regulation
- Comply with the laws and regulations of labor safety and hygiene related to works and assigned tasks
- Use and maintain the Personal Protective Equipment, working tools, safety appliances and equipment in the work place, and are responsible for any loss or damage.
- Report immediately to a person in charge when discovering risks that may lead to work related accidents, diseases or poisoning and danger. Give first-aid and take corrective action to prevent work related accidents as required by the company
- Properly participate in OHS training courses conducted by the Company, included training before working with machinery, equipment which need to apply strict requirements on safety
- Properly participate periodic medical check-up and occupational disease examination organized by employer
- Get advice from and follow doctor’s instruction if treatment is required
