Description:
Responsibilities:
- To project manage the development and delivery of the content for the Science festivals in the Humber region (including Humber science festival and Pint of Science), including leading on festival activity calls and scheduling.
- Work with the Festival Director, Hull Museums and key contacts at Hull City Council to ensure timely delivery of key outreach activities and events, particularly the Hull Science Festival, Christmas Lectures and Pint-of-Science.
- Work with key personal at the University of Hull, Hull Museums and Hull City Council to ensure outreach events comply with all organisations policies, procedures, health and safety and regulations, providing advice and guidance and support as required.
- Support development of community and industry partnerships with the regions science, engineering and technology users, including those in commercial, public and education sectors.
- Be responsible for the preparation and presentation of evaluations for outreach events., including creating evaluation methods, writing reports and advising on implementation of outcomes of evaluations.
- Maintain relationships with key external stockholders including the UK Science festival network, the Deep and the British Science Association.
- To liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Collate, analyse and provide data and statistics as required by faculty or academic areas.
- Assist in the preparation for reports.
- Assist in preparation of outreach websites.
- Co-ordinate reviews, consultations and development of initiatives as required.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior colleagues and new staff as necessary
