Description:

Do you have experience recruiting? Are you skilled at making decisions by analyzing data? The Utah Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) has an opening for a Human Resources Analyst at the Department of Government Operations (DGO), Department of Insurance (UID) and Navajo Trust HR Field Offices. The chosen candidate will be part of a great team that will help deliver high quality human resource services to state agencies within the Executive Branch of Utah government. You will work with agency management to provide solutions and expertise to their recruitment and classification needs that will aid in the success and furthering of their mission.
This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office (2 days a week required in office) and remote work days. The office is located at the Taylorsville State Office Building 4315 So 2700 West, Taylorsville, Utah. Please note, a position’s eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion at any time and for any reason.
All candidates selected to fill vacancies at the Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) may be reassigned to other work locations within Salt Lake or Utah counties at any time based on business need.

Responsibilities:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

The Human Resources Analyst main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Consulting with assigned agencies on recruitment and classification matters.
  • Drafting and coordinating recruitment postings.
  • Consulting with hiring officials on interviews, reference checks, and background checks.
  • Processing other employment actions for employees such as terminations, promotions, transfers, administrative salary increases, etc.
  • Developing and providing recruitment related training to the agency.
  • Evaluating current job duties to determine proper classification for positions.
  • Interpreting, clarifying, explaining, and applying state and agency policy and procedures, business practices, and federal or state laws and regulations, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
