Description:

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is seeking an experienced Bilingual Human Resources Admin/ Specialist to join our team for a 6-month project while an HR team member is out on leave. There could be the opportunity for this role to become full time once the 6 months are completed.
This role reports to the HR Director at our Rancho Cucamonga facility and is considered a critical member of the CPP-Rancho team, working closely with all levels of the organization on a daily basis. The HR Specialist will provide a broad range of support to the HR team and partner with all levels of key stakeholders within the plant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience: 1-2 Years of HR experience
  • Language: Bilingual, English/Spanish required.
  • Certifications/Licenses: PHR/SHRM-CP is plus
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situations

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes an inclusive workplace by advising managers and supervisors on employee relations issues; including conflict resolution, performance improvement and related matters consistent with HR policy and practice.
  • Assists in reviewing policies, programs and practices to insure value, compliance, fairness of application and effectiveness.
  • Maintains positive employee relations through communication, support and administration of the performance management system.
  • Assist in the offboarding process by scheduling, conducting, and tracking exit interviews
  • Works with HR Director to source candidates, screen resumes, schedule interviews, assist in coordinating on site interviews with hiring manager, track applicant status, prepare materials for the recruiting process.
  • Coordinate background checks and drug screens.
  • Coordinate and help deliver new hire orientation, including setting up personnel files, badge access, coordinating and maintaining the I-9 and E-verify program and administering new hire paperwork
  • Conduct 30, 60, 90 day check-ins with new hires
  • Perform various administrative tasks
  • Must be able to work alone since the HR Director works at our City of Industry facility a few times a week.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to collaborate and influence all layers of the organization.
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
