Description:

Terms: Six (6) month full-time contract (potential for extension; also includes benefits and pension)

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, including experience in business partnering, recruitment, talent management and learning and development.
  • University degree in a relevant discipline (or commensurate experience).
  • Strong organizational, facilitation and client service skills.
  • Research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Health Standards Organization (HSO) is searching for a Human Resources Business Partner within our Talent Department, reporting to the Chief People Officer. This is a six (6) month contract position with the possibility of extension, and it includes benefits and pension coverage. In this multi-dimensional role, you will develop and implement HR strategies and lead recruiting efforts to support the operations and growth of your client groups. You will be a key contributor as we build on, and execute, our talent development strategies and learning and development programs. You know how to apply good judgement, are adaptable to changing circumstances and can interact effectively with clients at all levels of the organization. Ultimately, you recognize that people are at the core of an organization’s success, and you know how to bring this to the forefront of your work.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with internal business units to support the achievement of operational and people objectives.
  • Provide advice and facilitation to leaders and employees on matters of employee relations, human resources planning, employee development, performance management, engagement and inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA).
  • Work closely with hiring managers to coach them through the recruitment process, understand their needs and target your recruitment efforts accordingly.
  • Develop and implement enterprise talent and learning & development programs to support our workplace culture and priorities, under the direction of the Director of Talent Management and in partnership with our Talent Management Specialist.
  • Support initiatives for your portfolio or for the enterprise in collaboration with other HR team members to ensure integrated and effective outcomes.
