Description:
EDUCATION
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related discipline or equivalent experience; working towards relevant designation preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 – 5 years HR Generalist experience
- Must have experience in a unionized environment
- Construction/Transportation Industry experience (considered an asset)
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Proficient in various computer applications, Microsoft Office, Outlook 365, Excel

Responsibilities:
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Mammoet is seeking a knowledgeable and driven individual to join our Human Resources team in Edmonton. This role will involve supporting the daily activities related to employee and labour relations across the organization, while also providing assistance in all areas of Human Resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Assist in ensuring organizational compliance with applicable legislation (Employment Standards, Human Rights, Privacy, Occupational Health & Safety)
- Collaborate with union representatives to address and resolve workplace issues, maintaining positive relationships, collective bargaining, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Efficiently manage the dispatching of union employees, ensuring optimal workforce allocation and adherence to contractual guidelines and site requirements
- Consult with the worksite on issues, and research options, liaison with involved parties, prepare recommendations, and draft correspondence
- Assist with the development, deployment, and maintenance of Human Resource/Corporate programs, initiatives, and training
- Assist with driving the deployment of the annual employee review process
- Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying Human Resource tools to improve organizational performance through enhanced employee engagement and manager effectiveness while ensuring legal compliance
- Support HR administration, including but not limited to, maintaining job descriptions, SAP Position management, processing paperwork, and data entry related to Mammoet programs and processes
- Participate in investigations as needed and is able to document, report and ensure that outcomes are actioned upon.
