Director of Human Resources to join our Team of Professionals. A minimum of 3 plus years supervisory experience. We are seeking a dedicated HR Director to lead our human resources function, focusing on HR operations and strategy while overseeing the well-being and development of our talented team members.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Director to join our team. The HR Director will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizations human resources function. You will lead and manage our entire HR department, working closely with leadership to develop and implement strategic human resource initiatives that support our growth and commitment to excellence. Key responsibilities:
- Create and enhance HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry best practices
- Maintain an up to date handbook based on Federal and State regulations as well as company policy and procedure
- Assist with proper insurance procedures as it pertains to Gregor Industries Workers Comp Policy and reporting’s
- Stay up to date with labor laws and regulations, ensuring HR practices remain compliant
- Conduct investigations, discipline, performance reviews and terminations
- Create and document polies and procedures
- Be the subject matter as it pertains to company policy and procedure pertaining to Handbook and other Hiring notices
- Be the subject matter as it pertains to company benefits and other company offerings
- Address issues raised by current employees and new-hires, assisting with providing solutions based on both Federal and NY State regulations and laws
- Maintain employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
- Provides payroll information by collecting time and attendance records
- Maintain records of personnel-related data ( payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database to ensure all employment requirements are met
- Assist with the recruitment and interview process
- Assist with new employee hiring process
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources leadership position
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, Masters degree preferred
- Experience in construction a plus
- Experience working through complex and sensitive employee issues
- Must be adaptable to change
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws
- Must have the ability to work with people at all levels within an organization
- Experience with conflict resolution
- Ability to properly handle confidential and HR sensitive information
