Human Resource Generalist

The Human Resource Generalist, located at our JLM Manufacturing production facility in Warren, MI, is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Human Resource team. JLM Manufacturing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lipari Foods, specializes in confections conversion and convenience grab-and-go items. This role will support Human Resource initiatives for the ~130-person site reporting to the SVP of Human Resources for Lipari Foods. The ideal candidate will have experience in any, or multiple, of the following: managing the employee onboarding process, employee labor relations, recruiting and/or benefit management. This role acts as the first level of support for employees and external partners for HR related inquiries.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a Human Resource setting preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong Administrative skills
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills

• Assist in the oversight and application of Human Resource policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Lead recruiting and retention efforts for site
• Conduct new employee orientation and assist with food safety training
• Partner with leadership in addressing employee issues as they arise
• Oversee time and attendance programs utilizing UKG Ready
• Files, organizes and maintains forms and documents, reference materials and assists in maintenance of employment records
• Performs all lead and support functions with a focus on continuous improvement
• Create employee engagement communications and presentations
