Description:
Electrical Components International (ECI) is looking for a Human Resource (HR) Systems Specialist to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is an on-site position (offers flexibility with hours) that offers an opportunity to build a variety of HR skills and gain exposure to working with top executives across the globe.
Qualified candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND at least 3 years of relevant HR systems experience
- Solid working knowledge of HR systems and software applications, Paycom is a plus
- Some experience providing support to HR teams including providing systems support with reporting, system administration, process workflows and supporting multiple HR modules such as payroll, compensation, compliance, learning, etc.
- General familiarity with HR policies and procedures for multi-state establishments is preferred

- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – advanced using excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly driven self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Compensation:
The salary will be determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Daily system administration activities to support HR, payroll, and other interrelated functions.
- Maintain optimal function of the HR system which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, systems, and modules.
- Collaborate with leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implements solutions.
- Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to users.
- Provide analysis and recommendations for new acquisition integrations into HRIS system and HR policies.
- Perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches.
- Generate reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Conduct training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
- Support the total reward function by analyzing vacation plans, sick time, holidays, etc.
- Comply with and deliver data for AAP, EEO, Vets 4212, California Pay Reporting, and other compliance related reports timely.
- Onboarding and I-9 completion of new hires including senior level executives.
- Deliver monthly headcount report(s).
- Rollout of HR documents, training, required learning to appropriate employee groups and supports Talent Management with delivery of required materials.
- Assist with Benefits Administration including billing, open enrollment audits, answering employee questions.
- Assist with payroll by submitting, auditing, and approving changes for the payroll through the HRIS system.
- Daily requests from internal customers.
- All other duties as assigned.
