Responsibilities

  • Workday HR Processes and Timekeeping - initiate electronic business processes in Workday for staff and student hires, including but not limited to requisitions, position postings, change job processes, transfers, and terminations: process salary adjustments and reclassification requests. Assist in processing Workday appointments for semester-based professional and academic program instructors. Approve staff and student timesheets, ensuring adherence to proper timekeeping guidelines. Assist staff with time-related questions and processes such as leave balances, adjustments, and FML timekeeping.
  • Staff Support - Serve as a representative for HR-related questions and issues. Research and work with UT Payroll, HR Records, and other back-office support personnel on resolving issues and providing information and resolution to requestors. Escalate personnel and workplace issues to the Sr. HR Coordinator. Assist the Sr. HR Coordinator in writing and delivering announcements, updates, and communications to portfolio staff. Monitor the CBS-HR inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Assist with office operations/fulfillment related to staff onboarding and offboarding.
  • HR Programs, Information, and Initiatives Support - Assist with executing HR-related programs, policies, and initiatives within Academic Affairs. Collaborate with Sr. HR Coordinator, unit staff, and CBS team members to support the successful implementation of initiatives and programs. Assist with maintaining internal unit information systems, websites, and process guides.
  • Compliance, Records Management, and Training - Maintain departmental HR files in accordance with UT Records and Information Management guidelines and retention schedule. Attend and participate in meetings and workshops offered by Workday, the UT Compliance office, and Central Human Resources to stay current on policies and procedures. Assist with Inventory tracking for the Academic Affairs portfolio.
  • Analysis and Reports - Assist with Workday HR reports as needed, including but not limited to position and classification analysis, compensation data, and ad-hoc reporting
