JOB DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Expertise to support regions throughout the US and abroad. This position supports the full spectrum of HR functions including, but not limited to, recruiting/onboarding, compensation, benefits, performance management, succession planning, workforce planning/redeployment, employee relations, learning and development, affirmative action planning, policy development/implementation, off-boarding/terminations, and employment law compliance. Responsibilities include:

  • Supports HR business partners and functional HR managers with routine HR administrative tasks.
  • Administers HR intake queues and responds to routine employee inquiries.
  • Supports the deployment, administration, and monitoring of HR programs across the talent management spectrum including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, compensation administration, employee recognition, and workforce management/redeployment.
  • Assists with the development of HR policies and procedures; responsible for policy and procedure updates and reinforcement throughout the organization.
  • Maintains employee records in the HRIS (Oracle Fusion) and generates monthly/ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Maintain LMS and ensure training records are up to date.
  • Supports the HR departments with strategic initiatives and projects across all key functional areas.
  • Administers employee relations actions, provides outplacement support, and conducts exit interviews.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; ensures EEO-1 and VETS reports are filed annually.
  • Provides benefit administration support including change reporting, invoice reconciliation, and assist in communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Administers and tracks FMLA, or other state leave, and supports leave management function by entering time sheets.
  • Facilitates immigration process and ensures compliance with I-9 regulations.
  • Maintains compliance with all Federal, State and Local legislation.Performs other HR duties as assigned by management.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Specialist
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Advanced PC skills with proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
