QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years hotel experience and/or administrative experience
- Post secondary Human Resources education would be an asset
- Knowledge of hotel operational procedures and standards.
- Proficient in computer applications; Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership and motivational skills
- Working knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights
- Accounting/bookkeeping education and/or experience would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Lightspeed / GEAC and SAP systems would be considered assets
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with entering and updating employee information in the payroll system, assist employees with system use
- Providing associates with information and assistance on the Benefit Plan and Pension Plan
- Updating & posting vacant positions using various media, tracking turnover data
- Preparing materials for job fairs alongside HR Director to represent the hotel and recruit as needed
- Assisting with WCB data tracking and report management
- Analyzing guest survey data and identifying trends for service training
- Assisting in facilitation and tracking of online and classroom training as well as supplementary legislated training; ProServe, WHMIS, Food Safe
- Assisting in administering Associate Satisfaction Survey and compiling results
- Assisting in leadership and support for Social Club activities such as annual holiday party and summer picnic.
- Daily VLT cash collection and reconciliation as well as bank deposits
- Assisting in daily sales reconciliations as well as filing
- Assisting in responding to accounting related guest inquiries and follow up
- Preparing and distributing tips for F&B outlets on a regular schedule
- Reviewing with associates applicable safety rules/procedures and monitor compliance., performing all tasks in a safe manner according to established work practices
- Other Human Resources & Accounting related duties as required
