Description:
Position Title: Human Resources/Accounting Representative
Reports To: Connecticut Branch Manager
Summary: The Human Resources/Accounting Representative is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data in the company’s Time & Attendance (ADP) system, as well as performing various administrative activities related to Human Resources. The ideal candidate must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding Spanish.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with ADP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent HRIS/ERP experience is
- Associate degree in accounting or business or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend. No travel is expected for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
- Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
- Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
- Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
- Report regularly to plant managers on financial metrics, ship but not billed, aging, employee and/or temporary employees
