Our roots trace back to 1896, when the Brethren in Christ Church founded Messiah Home in Harrisburg, PA, to serve older adults with Christ-like love.

If so, you would be an ideal candidate to become the Administrative Assistant for our Human Resources team!
This role will support all functions of HR (Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Employee Relations), and is a great starting point to begin your career in Human Resources. This position works during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm). This posting will expire on October 25th, 2024.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOULL DO:
- Perform administrative duties pertaining to the recruitment and hiring of candidates. This includes, but is not limited to, onboarding and new hire documentation (medical records, contact information, etc.), credential verification documents, employment verification, etc.
- Conduct follow-ups with occupational health vendors to ensure all physicals, drug screens, and TB tests are collected prior to new hires orientation start date
- Manage onboarding and new hire orientation as needed
- Create and maintain personnel files; Enter new hire information into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and online learning system
- Purchase and store office supplies
- Receive and distribute interoffice mail
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality as it relates to all Messiah Lifeways team members, residents, and business functions
- Serve as point of contact for team members and visitors (to HR); Answer team member related questions (via phone and/or email); or direct them to the appropriate party
- Assist with internal Human Resources audits
- Work with vendor to provide and complete unemployment claims documentation
- Manage internal HR communications, policy changes, and forms on the intranet (The Loop application for team members)
- Additional tasks may assigned at the request of the Senior Director of Human Resources and Director of Compensation and Benefits
