Description:
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Highly responsible administrative work in assisting Human Resources management along with training and payroll programs. The Human Resources/Administrative Support position performs work of considerable difficulty in providing a full range of administrative support and office management functions.
Upon successful completion of probation, this position may be considered for a hybrid work schedule.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Highly organized, accurate, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to independently carryout department objectives with only limited supervision.
- Ability to recognize problems, and effect solutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, public, and other employees.
- Knowledgeable in laws and procedures for human resources and payroll
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills
- Excellent organization and communication skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma and at least two years of administrative office support experience that includes personnel/payroll, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of bachelor’s degree or equivalency in human resources or related field
- At least two years of human resources and/or payroll, experience in a medium to large sized organization in the public sector
- State of Minnesota systems experience (SEMA4)

Responsibilities:
This position performs a variety of duties of varying difficulty. You will have the opportunity to multitask, work independently, and partner with internal and external stakeholders.
Under general supervision of the Fiscal Director, duties may include but not be limited to:
- Provides support and data maintenance of employee human resource records, as well as payroll, and administrative support duties.
- Responsible for administrative and logistical support of the agency training program- duties include communicating event details, answering logistical questions, managing reservations, reviewing and assisting with- agendas, coordinating presenters, handouts, ordering office supplies. Additional duties may include attendance logs, staffing registration tables at events.
- Assists Office Managers and employees with questions related to HR and payroll.
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls; opening and distributing mail.
- Provides backup for statewide payroll using payroll software (SEMA4).
