The Job Profile
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this role will provide day-to-day HR administration support to Simon & Schuster UK, India, and Australia. The HR Administrator will be a member of the busy and fast-paced HR team and will contribute to the development of a range of HR tools that support the business objectives and help the business achieve operational excellence in its HR activities.
The Job Role
The HR Administrator will support the HR team by taking full responsibility for the execution of transactional HR administration and project coordination across the employee life cycle including but not limited to recruitment, benefits cycles, performance management, learning and development, HR systems and other initiatives.
The core responsibilities of this role include but not limited to; maintaining employee records; updating and maintaining our in-house HR systems with accurate employee data (e.g., new hires, changes to terms and conditions, holiday and sickness records);coordination of recruitment across S&S UK and S&S India, including interview scheduling, liaising with external agencies and preparation of interview questions; HR administration for onboarding, issuing offer letters and employment contracts, changes to terms and conditions and off-boarding.
The Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be invested in the HR field and working towards becoming CIPD qualified with a working knowledge of the HR generalist field. You will have exceptional organisational and communication skills together with solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
You will be a proactive team player, self-motivated and able to work under pressure. You will also be tactful and sensitive when dealing with employee information maintaining confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
