Description:

EMPLOYMENT EQUITY

  • Assist with compilation and submission of the EE reports to the Department of Labour annually by deadline date.
  • Form part of the EE committee
  • Assist in organizing and planning quarterly EE meetings
  • Assist in minuting and distributing the meeting minutes

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

  • Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Reports
  • Work closely with the Training & Development Officer and the HR Manager and:
  • Assist with the compilation and submission of the online reports to Seta
  • Planning and organizing training
  • Application of Learnerships via the Pivotal section of the online submission

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in HR Management
  • B Compt HR Degree will be an advantage
  • Certificate in Industrial Relations will be an advantage
  • Driver’s Licence and Own vehicle

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting of Letters of Appointments
  • Drafting of Job Descriptions
  • Ensure that the necessary counselling is given or arranged to the staff when necessary.
  • Must have significant input in Drafting of Policies and Procedures
  • Maintaining of KPI’s and Performance Appraisals system
  • Ensure that the Employee of the Month nominations are received timeously. Confirm file checks on these nominations and then consult with Snr HR Manager and HOD’s to finalise the winner.
  • Assist Senior HR Manager with compiling the summarised report to Senior Management of the business on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that a weekly/monthly HR report is sent to management
  • Ensure that the clock system if fully functional at all times.
  • Must always maintain a strict level of Confidentiality
  • Must be able to fill in for the Payroll Administrator during her absence
  • Must assist the team on the floor and change for audit preparations
  • Monitor and report on employees time keeping and absentieesm

IR

  • Work closely with the Labour Consultants
  • Deal with all performance, grievance and IR related issues in a legally compliant and professional way
  • Arrange and sit in disciplinary hearings
  • Notify all necessary people including the employee of the findings
  • Attend CCMA cases on behalf of the company
  • Must be involved in retrenchment procedures
