Description:

Title: Human Resources Administrator
Salary: $27.13 per hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours weekly
Supervisor: Associate Director for HR, Diversity, and Inclusion

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three (3) years’ experience in an administrative role required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of ADP experience preferred.
  • Database management experience.
  • Experience in Human Resources.
  • Basic computing skills to aid in data management and other HR functions.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivator with a passion for problem solving.

Position Responsibilities: The Human Resources Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of the human resources department. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist all members of the HR department with administrative duties including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, filing, and running audits on various data points in HRIS system or personnel files to ensure data quality.
  • Perform data entry upon request; could include, new hire/termination information, salary changes, insurance updates, uploading and noting performance reviews and issues, and expanding data in HRIS.
  • Prepare all payroll authorizations for any staff changes to be processed in the payroll system including new hires, separations, promotions, title changes, schedule changes, promotions, and schedule changes.
  • Support in the orientation process including but not limited to preparing the materials necessary for each class, ordering supplies and lunch.
  • Assist with compliance requirements and HR audits.
  • Run all background checks on new hires and volunteers/interns.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Update and maintain HR spreadsheets in excel.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution of their queries.
  • Assist with special projects deemed necessary by VP of HR and/or AD of HR.
  • Assist in compiling documentation requests from other departments and auditors specific to HR files.
  • Assistance with employee time keeping and deductions to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions.
  • Work with the AD of HR and/or others on the HR team on special projects.
  • Take meetings minutes as needed or request for HR lead meeting or committees.
  • Attend and assist with HR events.
  • Manage supplies of the HR department which included monitoring HR supplies placing purchase orders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with ADP.
  • Understand confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to exhibit patience and respect.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working with numbers.
  • High level of accuracy in work product.
  • High level of computer skills including strong proficiency of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems a plus.
  • Excellent internet research skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility: able to move from project to project, even though it may not be done and pick up where you left off.
  • Reliable, punctual, and supportive to the department and agency as a whole.
