If your focus is HR and you want to take the next step in your career and develop into a trusted and credible advisor to the business, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a HR Advisor in the operations space.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to learn from and work alongside highly experienced Subject Matter Experts, HR and Operational leaders to deepen your experience in a large complex manufacturing/mining environment, providing you with the scope, opportunity and support to become an experienced HR specialist.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will work closely with operational leaders based nationally and will become a “go to person” for HR support on a wide range of HR-related matters ensuring that what we do is in accordance with Cement Australia’s policies, procedures and processes.

  • Assisting the business with HR related policies and procedures (as well as Enterprise Agreements and legislation), including remuneration and benefits, leave, termination and performance management.
  • Carry out formal / informal investigations into disciplinary matters and provide advice to management on appropriate courses of action
  • Provide advice and interpretation of EAs, and support the processes in preparation for a negotiation
  • Provide reporting and analytics support to the HRBP and line managers on HR metrics and reporting queries.
  • Prepare letters of offer, and other required documents outlining changes of terms and conditions of employment.
  • Provide prompt customer service to clients, focussed on problem solving, quick resolutions and consistent and fair treatment of all employees.
  • Support and educate the business in all HR Disciplines to facilitate line leader growth and development in their HR / IR knowledge
  • Support the People and Capability team in the execution of key HR projects and recruitment process.
