JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide an advisory role to managers and employees in the exercise of their respective roles on all questions concerning human resources.
  • Work in partnership with managers to achieve optimal performance and generate employee engagement.
  • Act as a coach to regional sales managers and managers regarding human resources management, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process and the development of best practices, policies and directions in human resources for the distribution center and ensure their deployment.
  • Carry out health and safety management by mobilizing staff towards the improvement of work practices, the development of new policies, the active and participatory maintenance of the health and safety committee, etc.
  • Coordinate the work of a human resources technicien.
  • Contribute to the development of team management skills to maintain resource engagement and achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure that recruitment needs for the distribution center are met and make recommendations.
  • Ensure that the onboarding of new employees is done (presentation of the company & colleagues), facilitate and promote their integration into their new work environment.
  • Be a strategic partner in the organization to ensure alignment of the company’s human resources initiatives to support the strategic plan.
  • Make diagnoses and interventions following exit interviews and communicate the information to the managers concerned.
  • Inform employees about company programs, policies and procedures and answer their questions.
  • Collaborate in the development, implementation and monitoring of various projects, documents, work tools and programs in human resources management.
  • Produce and analyze performance indicators.
  • Ensure the application of laws relating to each province.
  • Write letters, memos and other types of documents.
  • Participate and coordinate various special projects and social activities with the Human Resources team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources management or a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in human resources in a distribution center or industrial environment.
  • Written and spoken bilingualism (the person will have to speak with English-speaking and French-speaking employees).
  • Aptitude for interpersonal relationships.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Autonomy and good judgment.
  • Ability to communicate.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for ensuring the planning and execution of various human resources activities and acting as an ambassador of the company culture. The person must provide an advisory role to distribution center managers in various activities, such as talent planning and acquisition, employee relations, compensation, training and organizational development.
