Te Tari Pūreke has been stood up as the firearms regulator in Aotearoa New Zealand and is the new place for people interested in the safe use and possession of firearms. Our vision is the possession and use of firearms in Aotearoa is the safest in the world. To achieve this, Te Tari Pūreke delivers four core functions: effectively implementing the firearms licensing system; managing the Firearms Registry; educating people to enable compliance with their legislative responsibilities; and promoting the safe use of legitimate firearms. We are committed to fostering a culture of safety and responsible firearms use by working collaboratively with the firearms community, other stakeholders, and agencies, to promote safety, responsible gun ownership, and licence holder awareness of their responsibilities of their responsibilities.
About the role

This role is a true generalist position which involves supporting your own caseload, working in collaboration with other people related functions within the business. Our focus is to provide a wide variety of technical and solution orientated HR advice to support, coach and guide managers within the business.
Key Accountabilities
Provide advice and support on HR policies, procedures and employment law to employees and managers
Coordinate HR related information including maintaining accurate records, managing the TTPHR inbox, ensuring timely responses to employee enquiries
Support employee relations, performance management and general HR processes
Manage and organise HR documentation and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and well being programmes
Assist in HR projects and collaborate with senior HR professionals to support business needs
Qualifications / Requirements
2-3 years of experience in a People & Culture or HR Advisory role
A tertiary qualification in HR, Psychology or a related field is preferred.

Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,306 to $91,353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
