Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently recruiting for a collaborative individual who loves diverse work, collaborating across departments and is empowered to leverage technology in their day-to-day work. As a trusted HR Advisor, the successful candidate will help drive HR initiatives related to recruitment, learning and development, performance management and employee programs.
Note: This is a temporary maternity leave coverage position with a duration of approximately 14 months with an anticipated start date of January 2025.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment, from the posting stage to the final offer stage; including determining and implementing recruitment strategies, screening resumes, conducting pre-screen interviews, administering assessments, interviews, reference checks, pre-employment assessments
  • Conduct the onboarding and offboarding process – updating onboarding/offboarding documents, scheduling employee sessions, providing welcome and exit documents to employees
  • Provide system administration to the Performance Management cycle in Dayforce
  • Support the design and development of training strategy and programs
  • Research and develop training resources and manage relationships with vendors
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design
  • Act as the System Administrator to the corporate LMS; administer corporate training programs and support the governance of the system
  • Oversee the Reward & Recognition program; identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Create and manage internal communications of company intranet (SharePoint) and external communications on Linkedin
  • Support the Operations department with their Competency program
  • Maintain and administer employee lifecycle documentation and workflows

Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree and 5 years experience working in the Human Resources field, CPHR designation or working towards CPHR designation is considered an asset
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with human resource information systems; Dayforce preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to anticipate what is needed, take action, and work independently
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization and manage confidential and sensitive information
  • A focus on continuous improvement and being committed to learning new HR practices
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Some travel to Saskatchewan and Manitoba is required
