HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT – JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Status: Regular, Full-Time
Department: Human Resources
Pay: $15.00 per hour
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day remote

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 High School Diploma or equivalent required;
 0-1 year of Human Resources administrative experience;
 Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
 Must be dependable with meeting deadlines and managing time;
 Creativity and the ability to “think outside the box”;
 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
 Have an ability to multi-task;
 Possess strong oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY & PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting with the administration of all Human Resources functions to ensure the timely processing on employment transactions.

PRIMARY POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 Partner with Hiring Managers to ensure the hiring needs are met;

Assist with administrative tasks in the office;
 Create and generate job requisitions through Paycor;
 Assist with the preparation and maintenance of employment records;
 Assist the department with ensuring applicants have a successful on-boarding;
 Assist with conducting the new hire orientation with the HR team;
 Assist with the compliance program, keeping all regulatory posters and communications up to date;
 Assist with the internal Learning Management System (LMS);
 Inform job applicants of their application status;
 Maintain and update the employee files;
 Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information;
 Interpret and assist with explaining Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations;
 Assist with annual and periodic reporting requirements;
 Contribute and provide support in the areas of employee engagement and culture initiatives;
 Plan, develop, and market events for team members;
 Help create a dynamic, purpose-driven office culture of the future, that continues to support a diverse and remote workforce;
 Help evolve the employee experience programs and initiatives;
 Help deepen the commitment to our organization’s people, customers, and values;
 Complete other duties as assigned.
