Transport Refrigeration Inc., is looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic individual to assist our Human Resources Department at our Corporate location in Hobart, WI. The HR Assistant would support different areas within HR from recruiting assistance, employee engagement, and record maintenance. The successful candidate wouldinitiate actions to create an atmosphere conducive to the best possible employer-associate relationship, where trust, respect, and helpfulness are at the forefront. JOB SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in a Human Resource department
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations with reasonable speed and accuracy (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions & percentages)
- Must hold and maintain a clean and valid driver’s license
- Proficient withMicrosoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel,Outlook (Email), Teamsand the ability to learn various types of software programs
- Respectful and courteous verbal communication skills in one-on-one andtelephone situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with otherswith high verbaland written communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Current understanding of Human Resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal andcustomer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrates a professional appearance and demeanor with a considerate and respectful attitude toward internal & external customers

- Completion of a high school education or equivalent

Responsibilities:
- Assistswith recruiting and onboarding activities
- Answersemployee questions regarding general HR inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
- Promptly and accurately communicatesrelated HR information to the company
- Tracks and sends Labor Law posters to all sites when needed
- Assistswith creating certificates for the Employee Recognition program
- Organizes, maintains, processes, and updates associate records and files
- Assists department with benefit reconciliations, the enrollment process for new associates, and during the open enrollment period
- Create, update, and monitor DOT Files
- Updates company phone listing and other documents
- Gathers information and emails weekly “Open Positions Flyer” to all company locations
- Codes HR Invoices with the appropriate GL accounts
- Updates and tracks the Accident summary for company locations in TEAMS
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality of all employee and company information
- Additional job duties as assigned
