ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join or team in Sault Ste. Marie. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will provide support to the HR department for recruitment, health & safety, training, and employee engagement. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support for the recruiting and onboarding processes, including job postings, arranging interviews, preparing new hire paperwork, and managing recruitment files
- Maintaining electronic database of employee files and training records for new and existing employees
- Assisting in the development, maintenance and distribution of policies, procedures, job descriptions and correspondence
- Assisting with the Committee Meetings including minutes, action plans and follow-ups
- Assisting with the management of Company managed HR initiatives and programs
- Assisting with day-to-day employee requests and HR related queries
ABOUT YOU: The ideal candidate will have:
- Post-secondary studies, preferably in business or human resources administration or related education and experience
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all HR information
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and being a strong multitasker
- Superior organizational, problem solving and time management skills to meet aggressive deadlines
- Pro-active team player with a positive attitude and absolute commitment to customer service
- HRIS administration experience is an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Publisher)
