Job Title: HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
Shift Schedule: 8:30AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime as required.
Starting Rate: $27.8985 PER HOUR / $58,028.9721 ANNUAL
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Minimum of one (1) year of business school.
- Associates degree or higher education preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge as may be required by assigned job duties and responsibilities.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION: Desktop computer, phone system, fax, copier, laptop and overhead projector.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following duties are typical for this position. Incumbents may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Answers phones and greets visitors.
- Prepares job announcements and coordinates the posting on company website, newspapers, schools, military bases and with other employment contacts.
- Reviews applications for employment.
- Prepares interview folders, schedules interviews and conducts pre-employment background checks.
- Conducts new hire orientations.
- Inputs and updates employee information in HRIS and VRS Navigator.
- Prepares the Affirmative Action Plan spreadsheets.
- Proctors employment testing.
- Distributes employee performance evaluations and monitors the evaluation schedule.
- Orders office and kitchen supplies for the department.
- Oversees the student art board reservations and schedule.
- Responsible for the Conference Center reservation and coordination with other departments to complete accommodations and provide monthly reports.
- Provides support during employee events to include open enrollment meetings, holiday luncheon, etc.
- Participates in job fairs and other employment outreach programs.
- Responsible for archiving and storage of all HR files.
- Periodically audits the I-9 forms.
- Assists with benefits administration as needed.
- Orders and maintains employees’ DMV driving records.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and directed.
- Adhere to all Authority personnel policies and departmental guidelines
