JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Human Resources has an exciting opportunity on our HR Data and Onboarding team! We are searching for a Human Resources Assistant specifically supporting our Data Team.
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Process Human Resources and Payroll transactions into our Human Capital Management system, Workday
- Transactions processed in Workday include the following: terminations, job changes, graduate assistant appointments, compensation changes, one-time payments, supplemental pays, reappointments, add contingent workers, and background checks
- Ensuring timely processing in accordance with payroll deadlines for all employee and appointment types

This position will be filled as a Support or Intermediate Support depending on the final applicant’s experience and education. The Support level requires a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree , or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional education and/or experience are required for higher-level positions.
Proficiency in Office 365 Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) is preferred. Knowledgeable and understanding of Human Resources and Payroll polices, Workday, and the WorkLion Portal is preferred.
This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$34,800.00 - $55,500.00
