Description:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience in healthcare is strongly preferred.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma/GED required
- Associate’s degree or commensurate Human Resources work experience/education is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Assistant provides clerical and operational services in the Human Resources department.

- Highly computer literate with capability in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom, Teams and other related business and communication tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Human Resources Assistant must have the ability to move around freely, walk and stand for long periods of time; use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; bend or twist their body; understand the speech of another person and speak clearly so listeners can understand; and see details of objects that are less than a few feet away and at a distance

Responsibilities:
- Functions under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager.
- Addresses all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Maintains and updates employee records and filing system.
- Performs the entire hiring workflow from posting open positions, sending offer letters, scheduling and processing new hires’ paperwork/screenings and assisting with onboarding/orientation processes.
- Produces and submits reports requested by the Human Resources Manager.
- Assists with employee status change forms and termination paperwork.
- Completes special projects as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
- Serves as back-up to the Human Resources Manager when the Manager is absent.
- Assists with employee relations matters, investigations and the disciplinary process.
- Helps interpret and educate staff on the Employee Handbook and HR policies and procedures.
- Teach monthly orientation to new hires.
- Executes all administrative HR tasks as assigned.
- Keeps up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices while having an understanding of HR functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
