POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR activities and projects. This position will be part of the Hanon Systems Alabama HR Team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position assists with:

  • onboarding processes for new hires (ex. running background checks, drug testing arrangements, assisting with new hire paperwork and new hire orientation).
  • creating and issuing employee badges.
  • assisting with maintaining training records related to the on-the-job training.
  • filing employee forms in personnel files.
  • processing invoices for payments.
  • assisting with recruitment initiatives as needed to support other recruiters.
  • communicating with the vending service company for employee breakrooms.
  • employee events planning and communication (ex. Power Point updates).
  • reports and presentations.
  • provide other general support as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE:

  • A 2 year or a 4-year college degree strongly preferred or a combination of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual-Spanish/English ability preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Good experience in Word, Excel (knowledge of basic formulas is a must), PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HR Systems (Kronos/ADP) and applicant tracking systems would be an asset.
  • Strong customer focus, diplomacy, an approachable personality and the ability to deal discreetly with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast paced and team oriented environment.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, initiate, develop and follow through on activities and projects.
