Job Description:
The Human Resources Assistant is a temporary position that will directly assist the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects related to employment, recruitment, recordkeeping, internal communications and HR compliance, among others.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Human Resource Department email inbox and respond to inquiries
- Prepare weekly employee newsletter
- Assist with the employee recognition efforts such as video boards and birthday and anniversary gifts
- Create and post jobs in iCIMS applicant tracking system; may help sort and screen qualified candidates
- Process background checks
- Assist with hiring candidates into Workday though data entry and audits to ensure accurate information
- Process terminations in Workday
- Assist with surveying seasonal staff utilizing survey tools and Excel
- Gather performance appraisal data and upload to Workday utilizing excel and other data templates
- Respond to and complete verification of employment inquiries
- Support HR audits such as form I-9, onboarding, etc.
- Support department events including employee orientations, special events, training, etc. Coordination includes making room reservations, room set up, creating employee sign-ups, or sending invitations, sending reminders and additional set up as needed.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously. This individual should also have proficient knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
