Role: Human Resources Assistant
Salary: £25,048 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite in our Thornhill, Dumfries office required (Wednesday, plus one other day)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to our continued growth, we are excited to be recruiting for the role of HR Assistant on a permanent basis here at The HALO Trust.
Reporting to the HR Officers as part of the People Services Team, this is an opportunity for you to be at the heart of bringing HALO’s mission to life, and we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who possesses the ability to work at pace in an ever-changing environment.
ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:
- Monitor the HR mailbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure the HR database is maintained, accurate and complies with current legislative requirements.
- Ensure the payroll database is updated as required.
- Assist in the rollout and implementation of new induction pathways
- Produce and distribute all employee correspondence regarding contracts, contractual changes and other employment documents.
GENERAL ASPECTS OF THE ROLE:
- Provide proactive HR advice on HALO policies and procedures as required within realms of expertise.
- Maintain continuous professional development.
- Support the induction process for all new staff.
- Assist and support The HALO Trust HR team with the implementation of a high-performance employee culture.
All HALO staff are expected to undertake the following general duties:
- Work within the framework of HALO’s core values, promoting its ethos and mission statement.
- Work towards achieving programme and/or group business plan objectives.
- Ensure familiarity with and adhere to all HALO policies and procedures and keep informed of HALO activities.
- Travel overseas as and when required.
- To discharge duties and responsibilities under HALO’s Health and Safety Procedures which may include Risk and COSHH Assessments and participation in evacuation procedures as necessary.
