POSITION SUMMARY:
The position available is a full-time Human Resources Associate that will be primarily focused on full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and supporting basic HRIS functionality. You will be responsible for job postings, sourcing & screening candidates, completing phone and virtual interviews, completing reference checks, maintaining sign-up process and documentation for new hires. Your role may also include managing ongoing grant applications and processes, as well as pursuing additional avenues for external recruitment such as student career fairs. You will analyze recruitment data and trends and make recommendations to HR Manager for areas of improvement or opportunity. You will collaborate with the HR team to analyze and adjust current HR processes. This role will be cross trained across additional HR responsibilities the team provides including Disciplinary Concerns, Benefits, Filing Management, Maintaining CET Standards, Training, Letter Management, Performance Management, and Policy & Procedure drafting to develop an understanding of the team’s processes and goals.
The HR department is working on growing and developing the processes and services that they use to support the organization and we are looking for someone who is able to work independently to accomplish goals and manage priorities, as well as able to work collaboratively in a team. You’ll be providing HR services and administrative support to the organization, maintain ongoing processes, and also working with the team on current and future projects. This position will require high level communication, organization, time management, and attention to detail.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of at minimum a 2-year Canadian Human Resource diploma or certificate
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to write and communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong abilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple takes, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce or other HRIS would be an asset
- Recruitment experience
- Familiarity or experience with Provincial/Federal grant applications & submissions
- Experience in a Not-For-Profit organization

Responsibilities:
- Create and post job opportunities internally & externally
- Screen and shortlist candidates
- Participate in interviews and perform reference checks
- Participate in the external recruitment drives such as Job Fairs
- Send sign-up documentation & manage onboarding process
- Complete new hire requirements, and collect necessary documents
- Assist with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR department and provide administrative support
- Provide monthly reports/status updates
- Effectively perform all necessary tasks using Microsoft Office products, internal and external electronic systems and software
- Act in accordance with NAS Inc. Policies & Procedures, legislative protocols and strive to meet CET Standards at all times
