Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Positively support business plan goals; develop and monitor tasks to ensure goals are achieved
- Lead continuous improvement activity of employment practices, policies and the culture of the workplace
- Work to meet customer’s expectations and fulfill their needs maintaining communication and good rapport
- Manage projects, utilize project stakeholders
- Support leadership with other assigned duties and tasks
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and sustains trust with peers and customers
- Maintain accurate records of reporting Associate’s work hours (Dayforce)
- Perform the following functions as well as mentor, coach and lead reports in the following functions:
- Lead individuals for the purpose of investigations, emergency situations and policy enforcement
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Participate in recruitment and retention activities and lead administration of benefits
- Communicate and serve as a role model for policies and procedures enforcement
- Assist in the interviewing and selection process for potential new hires and position postings
- Conduct training for management on new initiatives
- Support and serve as a role model for MEI’s KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale and Environment
- Demonstrate and serve as a role model for Respect for the Individual at all times
- Maintain professional and consistent Open Communication with all levels of the organization, communicating with diverse groups of people and ensuring understanding
- Demonstrate and serve as a role model for a Challenging Spirit and Innovation by continuous improvement in daily processes using PDCA cycles
- Demonstrate and serve as a role model for Timely, Informed Decision Making by utilizing genba practices and efficiently gathering information to make decisions that protect the organization and ensure fair treatment of Associates
- Solve problems and resolve issues/concerns in a timely manner. Apply preventative measures
- Maintain a customer service focus, ensuring and protecting our customer’s best interest
- Other Duties as assigned by Leadership
MINIMUM / PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS):
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- BA in Human Resources or related field desired.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Associate Relations or other HR position as a primary role or 0-1 year of experience in HR and a degree in Human Resources
- Basic knowledge and understanding of federal and state HR regulations
- Knowledge of HRIS system
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organization skills
- Proven experience leading and motivating teams
- Able to interact professionally within the company and with the customer.
- Able to lead project teams and present information to management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs
- Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business
