As an HR Business Partner you’ll be supporting the delivery of a strategic function that provides value adding HR services through central HR programmes to attract, develop, retain and engage a skilled and diverse workforce. You will also be responsible for covering stakeholder management, strategy, compensation review and organisational transformations. This will help us excel at having and retaining happy, motivated and the very best employees to stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Business Partnering
  • To gain a deep understanding in the key business areas through developing strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Actively identify gaps, propose and implement change necessary to cover risks within key business areas.
  • Support and drive change management initiatives across the Group.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to key business leaders to empower and enable them to effectively manage and develop their teams.
  • Work in partnership with other business leaders utilising consultative practices and influential methods to credibly help all understand the human perspective in relation to business issues being discussed.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Work with management to resolve employee relations and disciplinary issues.
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
  • Provide first-line coaching support to employees.
  • Manage workplace conflict through the introduction of an effective mediation service and if needed investigations.
  • Performance & Talent Management
  • Work with managers to identify performance issues, including root cause, work-flow efficiencies and effectiveness, job design and human behavioural causes.
  • Ensure the performance management process is applied and utilised effectively.
  • Support with Talent Management and Performance Management initiatives.
  • HR Administration:
  • Carry out admin related tasks for organisational changes, including job title, manager, salaries, contractual amendments and flexible work letters, from consultation to resolution.
  • Work closely with Workday & HRIS to ensure records are up to date and documents are saved and organised.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • 3-5 yrs experience of working as a HRBP, working on becoming an Senior HRBP.
  • A relevant formal qualification or equivalent appropriate CIPD or an HR generalist degree.
  • Working knowledge of UK employment law with the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations.
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals.
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast paced, ever changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations.
  • Experience working on large organisational change projects.

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  • Experience working for a fast paced technology environment, gaming or gambling a bonus.
  • Workday experience highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with multiskilled teams including Compliance, Data and Technology.
  • Experience in dealing with both senior and demanding stakeholders with confidence and conviction.
