The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Responsibilities:

ROLE DEFINITION

The Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic liaison between HR and the business who implements HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provides guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development. This position will provide strategic HR support to the SD&D Procurement and PSLD Business Resources organizations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborating with senior management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the Procurement and Business Resources strategic goals and objectives.
  • Aligning HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.Analyzing HR metrics (via Workday & PowerBi softwares) and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management. Metrics include, but at not limited to the Employee Insights employee opinion survey, diversity and inclusion, attraction and retention, etc.
