Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary Certificate and/or Diploma in a Business Administration Program with a focus in Human Resources
- 3-5 years of progressive, related experience in a unionized environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislative framework including but not limited to, Employment Standards Act, The Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, the Municipal Act
- Proficiency with HR information systems and databases to access data, gather appropriate information for specific HR-related purposes and to prepare reports
- Proficiency with common office productivity software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook as well as other presentation and database applications to prepare correspondence, reports and presentations, and coordinate meetings
- Ability to research initiatives and prepare reports and recommendations
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and senior leaders to provide written research, program support and to respond to enquiries as needed
Hours of work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday (35 hours/week) in office.
The current annual salary range for this non-union position is $72,652-$90,806
