Description:

OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of US financial marketplaces, is seeking an Human Resources Business Partner, to join our Human Resources team. This role will engage directly with business leaders, internal and external stakeholders, vendors and consultants. This is an integral role with high visibility throughout the organization. OTC Markets Group currently employs 140 individuals with a HR & Admin team of 4. This role requires the ability to manage processes, strategic projects, and day to day tasks as the team supports each other cross-functionally. PLEASE NOTE OTC MARKETS IS CURRENTLY OPERATING IN A HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT (THREE DAYS IN OFFICE, TWO DAYS REMOTELY). THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN OUR NYC OFFICE.

Base compensation for this role is up to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for stock options upon hire, discretionary annual cash bonus and discretionary annual restricted stock awards.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities – Human Resources

  • Collaborate with Director of HR to measure OKR performance and KPI annual SMART goals to drive success of the business through measurable metrics driven results.
  • Manage the administration of Company’s health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, leaves of absence/disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, and voluntary benefits; manage open enrollment.
  • Prepare any applicable reporting for and ensure compliance of federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as filings including EEO, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s, ACA, Section 125, and DOL requirements.
  • Utilize advanced data analysis, and data techniques to analyze human capital data and identify trends including, but not limited to KPIs, business performance management, predictive analysis, employee engagement, and global trends.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR analytics and reporting, providing insights to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Support special projects and bring innovative thinking, creativity, and an analytical mindset to every project.
  • Track HR metrics and generate reports to inform decision-making. Analyze trends and provide insights to Director of HR.
  • Responsible for new hire orientation and overseeing completion of new hire documents.
  • Support and ensure execution of leadership programs related to culture, recognition, and total rewards to maximize colleague engagement.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of performance management and talent development programs that drive team member development, retain exceptional talent, and reward high performance.
  • Analyze and revise the evaluation structure and related tools aligned with the company’s business plan and needs.

Secondary Responsibilities – Team Support & Administration

  • Process global payroll; manage compensation processing, which includes entering and payroll, recording employee option exercises and annual stock awards
  • Identify opportunities for maximum use of HRIS functionality and develop processes for improved efficiency, quality, timeliness, and accuracy of all Payroll and Benefits tasks
  • Analyze changes to state and federal labor laws and recommend appropriate changes to Director of HR and Chief of Staff
  • Partner HR team on compliance efforts related to our London office, including filings with the Pension Regulator, preparing required payroll adjustments and collaborate with our UK accountants and employment attorneys.
  • Provide guidance and support to people managers on compensation-related matters, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluations.
  • Monitor market trends and changes to federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance and adherence to wage and hour regulations, recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Provide back-up support with BMS system for HVAC, lights and shades, adjust when needed; back-up for building management on visitors and delivery instructions.
  • On a rotating basis, provide back-up front desk coverage for Office Coordinator when individual is OOO.
  • Additional responsibilities, as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelors degree, preferable in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ progressive HR generalist experience; strong benefits background required; experience with HR Analytics and/or Performance Management highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple HR functions (with emphasis on benefits, analytics, performance/talent management, recruitment/talent acquisition, and learning & development - in Financial Services or Fintech, industry preferred).
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills; highly efficient in Excel
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal employment and labor laws.
  • Ability to create and reinforce a positive and professional working environment.
  • Ability to work closely with corporate stakeholders across the board, maintaining confidentiality of information and processes.
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Impeccable organization and time management skills.
