HR BUSINESS PARTNER
Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. This opportunity is a multi-unit role based in our Toronto (North York) facility while also providing support to our Barrie location. Under the leadership of the HR Director, the HR Business Partner will partner with operational leadership to provide timely and professional Human Resources support to their client groups, while ensuring the appropriate governing legislation is adhered to. The HR Business Partner will also be a part in the development and maintenance of Human Resources programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with the organizations objectives.
YOUR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- University degree/diploma in HR, in absence of degree/diploma, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in Human Resources
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation.
- Previous experience supporting multi-locations is preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of individuals both internally and externally
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication, planning and presentation skills
- Strong sense of urgency and be able to manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all employees.
- Provide guidance and instruction to Managers, Supervisors and employees on policies, programs and systems as required.
- Actively participate in HR audits, employee opinion surveys, focus groups and have a hands-on approach in the completion of subsequent action plans.
- Lead and support maintaining and growing our employee culture and engagement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new programs, policies and procedures.
- Employee Relations including coaching and counselling, conduct investigations and disciplinary actions as required.
- Support and participate in Health and Safety matters, including being a part of the JHSC.
- Maintain current knowledge of all related employment legislation.
- Coordinate, support and lead the recruitment and selection process for client groups.
- Manage relationships and recruitment with temporary agencies.
- Update job descriptions and participation in job evaluations.
- Prepare, maintain and update employee databases (e.g. training, employee lists) and various related weekly/monthly/quarterly reports.
- Assist with the preparation, coordination and delivery of New Hire Orientation and various training programs to all employees and various levels within the organization as required.
- Support to training and development programs.
- Provide employees with benefits information and respond to benefits inquiries.
