JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to managers. The primary goal is to provide an employee experience aligned with our mission, vision, and values, ensuring every decision places employees at the forefront while strengthening the company culture through inspiring and engaging actions.
This key role within the management teams addresses employee growth, well-being, development, and performance needs. Additionally, the HRBP will serve as a critical link between HR advisors, the training team, and the talent acquisition team to meet both strategic and operational requirements.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS SOUGHT

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing or agri-food environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and collaboration tools (Teams).
  • Business acumen and ability to diagnose and analyze issues to propose effective solutions.
  • Strong sense of rigor, responsiveness, proactivity, accountability, and empathy.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail: enjoys understanding things in depth.
  • Ability to work positively within a team to achieve common goals.
  • Capacity to manage multiple files simultaneously while prioritizing effectively.
  • Essential bilingualism, both spoken and written (French and English), to communicate easily with our other two facilities in Florida and British Columbia. Spanish is an asset to facilitate interactions with our foreign workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and coach managers to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Provide strategic and operational support to resolve employee concerns and promote well-being.
  • Continuously monitor laws and case law to maintain and update HR policies and programs in line with legislative changes and industry best practices.
  • Establish and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance HR practices.
  • Collaborate closely with centers of excellence to integrate employee insights and ensure effective deployment of HR programs, such as performance management and merit administration.
  • Recommend continuous improvement initiatives and update HR policies to enhance process efficiency.
  • Foster a healthy and engaging work environment by ensuring positive mediation during conflict situations.
  • Handle complaints and conduct investigations in accordance with company policies.
  • Serve as the point of contact with various internal and external partners (e.g., prevention mutual, CNESST).
  • Interpret and ensure proper application of the provisions of the Collective Agreement and assist managers in handling complaints and grievances.
  • Represent the employer during Labor Relations Committee (LRC) meetings and in Collective Agreement negotiations.
