Description:
Our Human Resource team in Winnipeg is growing to support our evolving business needs!
We are adding a HR Business Partner who will provide advice and coaching to our client groups and business leaders, across our provinces, on matters related to policies and best practices. The incumbent will support the Director, HR in the areas of data reporting and analysis, talent management, succession planning and resource planning as well as support key business initiatives.
Our team is presently working in a hybrid fashion spending time on-site to collaborate and build relationships as well as working from home dependent on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management (or related field) from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Five years of experience in Human Resources in an advisory capacity, including experience in implementing effective HR solutions
- Two years experience in a specialized human resource area (centre of excellence) (e.g. employee relations, compensation, disability management or organization development, etc.)
- Previous experience conducting workplace investigations, developing communication plans and supporting and coaching leadership on employee relations issues
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices and legislation in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan
- Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS reporting systems
- Accountability and responsibility to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Experience with job evaluation and compensation programs is an asset
- Professional HR designation is an asset or working towards completion

Responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders to develop and implement HR related programs and initiatives
- Conduct research on initiatives and undertake projects and committee work to support HR policies and functions
- Provide support and advice on human resource matters such as workforce planning, compensation decisions, employee engagement, training & development, wellness in the workplace and performance management
- Provide guidance and leadership on the application and administration of HR policies, procedures and legislation
- Support cyclical HR processes such as, performance management and salary administration
- Facilitate regular check-ins with client group leaders to ensure the development and maintenance of strong internal stakeholder relationships.
- Responsible for full recruitment cycle in accordance with established corporate processes
- Analyze HR metrics to gain insight from various data sources and leverage trends to support proactive decisioning
- Facilitate development and improvement of KPIs and other systems that support HR functions and activities
