SUMMARY
The HR Coordinator will provide administrative assistance to the Director, People and Culture. This includes assistance in coordinating documentation for Short Term Disability (STD) cases; tracking open positions and recruitment activities coast-to-coast, follow-up on third party reference checking and running Personality Profiles. This position is also responsible for running a variety of reports on a monthly basis; research and assistance relating to job fairs, diversity recruitment opportunities, etc.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Demonstrated ability as a strong team player
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Community college diploma in a related discipline
- Flexible and adaptable
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Motivation and personal initiative are required
- Strong computer skills
Responsibilities:
- Administer the reference checking process
- Conduct research relating to job fairs and other recruitment opportunities, which are cost effective; establish contact with agencies which provide assistance in diversity hires
- Prepare drafts of correspondence for the Director Employee Relations relating to terminations, disciplinary letters, general info, etc.; prepare reports, correspondence for other members of HR team from time to time
- Develop relationships with internal / external clients to ensure smooth day-to-day operations; correspond to internal/external inquires stemming from “ASK HR”
- Ensure Internet and Intranet postings are up-to-date and consistent in content and title; assist in writing new postings and coordinate with Ad agency
